Safety precautions. I do not blame them for it, but it is.. rather tedious. [and somewhat unnecessary, if not for the fact that he has no idea what half of the stuff the others might be packing is.]

Not too long a chat, I hope. I am not sure he enjoys company while busy.

Is there anything in particular you'd like me to bring on that note? I'm very low maintenance, so any food or water you'll all need, I can carry.

Food and water would be beneficial. Torches as well, to light the way. [for whatever up-to-date equivalent is lying about.]

I would expect each to bring their own bedding, if they require it, but if it is not much of a burden, perhaps an extra blanket. The heat generators were disabled several months ago, and though I have no evidence to believe it, we may encounter similar changes in temperature during our excursion.

Whatever you need, I can help. I don't need to sleep or eat--nor do I need light, so anything at all won't be any trouble. I have plenty of room on my back.

..How very convenient. [and.. strange. but convenient nonetheless.] But I do not think we need bring much more than basic necessities, be they according to my definition or another's.
